Рассмотрены исторические циклы модернизации России в контексте проблем национальной безопасности. На основе анализа российского исторического опыта были выделены четыре цикла модернизации страны, обусловленные критерием реализации глобальных целей и взаимодействием с мир-системой. При этом модернизация практически всегда определялась необходимостью обеспечения безопасности государства перед лицом угрозы в виде конкретных агрессоров или отрицательной международно-политической и социально-экономической конъюнктуры.
Historical cycles of Russian modernization in the context of national security issues have been considered. Based on the analysis of the Russian historical experience, it has been allocated four cycles of modernization of the country, which have been caused by the criterion of implementation of global commitments and interaction with the world-system. At the same time the modernization is almost always been driven by the need to ensure national security in the face of threat in the form of specific aggressors or negative international-political and socio-economic conditions.
